Oh Jack. What a wild and woolly journey you took your parents and family on to eventually arrive here safe and sound. You came a little sooner than expected (5 weeks early) on January 31, 2008, very early in the morning (just after 4:00 am) and were a wee little fellow weighing in at 2.06 kgs (4.5415226 pounds according to Google). If that was the end of the story then all we would have to tell you, Jack Peter Tyzack, was how worried we were about you from when you were only 20 weeks old. At that point you were threatening to be born way way way too soon. Your folks bunkered down with mom being hospitalised and bedbound for over 3 months and you held tight right until the end of January. It was a long 12+ weeks for everyone but boy we were all so very happy when you hit those important 26, 30, 32 and 34 week milestones.
So you arrived safe and sound by C-section and then the "rest" of the of the wild and woolly journey started for you mom. Your mom, unlike you who was taking birth in your stride, had a bit of a shocker post-delivery. More medical terminology and procedures than we care to mention but she ended up in Intensive Care after giving the delivery staff and surgeons a real scare. It is almost unbearable to think how close you, GT and Jess may have been to losing her but she obviously intended to be with you all for a long time still. So once again Nic brought her bravery and strength to the situation and showed amazing resilience and recovery. Now all these photos, where we watch you grow, will be with your whole family; the way it is meant to be.
